Bonjour, Please continue practicing for the March homework presentations; they will take place on Tuesday, the 17th. Today, we had Sound Kreations first thing in the morning. The students learned a new dance move called "the clock"; ask your child to show you! After sound creations, we made a graph of the students' favourite fruits and had centre time. After centres, we had our Food Impact presentation. It was great! The students learned about Canada's food guide and also learned about the different "superpowers" that each food group gives our bodies. After an engaging discussion, the students got to make their own yogurt parfait snacks and were given a sample of wow butter to take home. Following the presentation, we reviewed our letter sounds and played a math game. We ended the day with a story and a sharing circle. Bonjour! For our food impact presentations tomorrow, the students will be assembling and eating yogurt parfaits. If you do not want your child to be eating the parfaits, please let me know via email.  This morning, we practiced for the homework presentations a little bit and reviewed the French vocabulary that we've been learning this month. We also had Sound Kreations today. The students got to practice their dance in position on the stage and on risers. They're getting pretty excited for the evening presentation on Monday. During centres, we finished up the art project that we started yesterday. The little alphabet posters look so good!

Bonjour, Our class is still looking for a volunteer for Friday morning. If you can come, please sign up, it would be greatly appreciated. During our French circle time this morning, we practiced saying how old we are in French, which is a part of this month's homework. Today, we also expanded on our health conversation from yesterday by writing about good health in our journals and drawing at least three different healthy habits. Afterwards, the students had music with Mme Edgett and centre time. During centre time, we did some painting! At the end of the day, I introduced the final three letter sounds, "X", "Y", and "Z". The students were so excited that we've reached the of the alphabet. We will continue practicing letter sound and identifying them in our classroom songs and vocabulary.

Bonjour, Today we talked about health, what it means to be healthy, and healthy habits. I loved hearing what the students had to contribute to this conversation. They said so much more than I thought they would! I put some of the quotes from our discussion below. “Don’t watch too much television” - H.Y “Don’t eat too much sugar” - J.A “There’s also one more vegetable thing that’s healthy, there a circle that’s red, it’s called a tomato. It’s healthy because it has seeds inside of it” - M.F “When I was sick, sleep helped me get better” E.G “You have to wash your hands so all the germs come off.” - D.C Today, we had gym outside because there were performers setting up in the gym. The students got play on the park and then played a game of noodle tag. After gym, we ate a quick snack and went to watch an opera show with the rest of the school. I think it was interesting for the students to see a style of performance that they aren'
