Bonjour!

I apologize, I had computer trouble yesterday and my blog post wouldn't publish!

In gym class this month, we will be doing a gymnastics unit. Today, the students learned how to dress appropriately so that they can participate safely. You should have received an email from M Trevor about this.

Below are the suggestions that were discussed the students today:
- tie up long hair
- avoid wearing hoodies, dresses, or skirts
- wear pants that allow for a wide range of movement such as leggings, sweat pants, or track pants

Thank you for your help and cooperation with this!

Today, we continued practicing how to move and hold our bodies in a controlled manner. Students played a game of dance and freeze. When the music stopped, students had to freeze and maintain their balance in a pose.

In French, we practiced some new animal vocabulary in order to help students with their January homework. We also introduced a new song called "La belle pieuvre", which can be found here and on the resource page of this blog. In math, we played the Splat! subitizing game on the SMARTboard and also practiced subitizing with images of animals.
