Bonjour!

 The Varsity Terry Fox run will start with a pep-rally at 8:45am in the gymnasium. We will start our run outside around 9am. Please dress warmly for the weather. If it is lightly raining or snowing we will still be going outside. The students brought home a sticker to fill out for the run to wear on their jacket. 

 Today we practiced counting and printing the number 1 and writing out the number 'un'. We started an activity in our math booklet. Students glued their work into their booklets and drew a picture to represent the number 1.

Bonjour! I apologize, I had computer trouble yesterday and my blog post wouldn't publish! In gym class this month, we will be doing a gymnastics unit. Today, the students learned how to dress appropriately so that they can participate safely. You should have received an email from M Trevor about this. Below are the suggestions that were discussed the students today: - tie up long hair - avoid wearing hoodies, dresses, or skirts - wear pants that allow for a wide range of movement such as leggings, sweat pants, or track pants Thank you for your help and cooperation with this! Today, we continued practicing how to move and hold our bodies in a controlled manner. Students played a game of dance and freeze. When the music stopped, students had to freeze and maintain their balance in a pose. In French, we practiced some new animal vocabulary in order to help students with their January homework. Tuesday, October 22nd

Bonjour! Tomorrow is Jour Brun, students are encouraged to wear brown if they can.  We had a super great time at Research Park today! We worked on a fun pattern activity and created patterns with natural materials we found on the ground. We read a nice story about autumn time. We did a scavenger hunt to find different colour leaves, birds, animals and different items we would see more in the fall. Research park is a great place to learn and play!

Thursday, October 31st

Bonjour! I have now posted the November calendar on the blog. I have also created a new page to provide you with the questions for the monthly homework. The questions can be copied and pasted into a word document for printing or written out on another paper. The homework is due on November 25th; please keep the sheet at home and practice with your child until the due date.  If you have any questions, please let me know.
