Yearbook sales have started! If you would like to purchase a yearbook to commemorate your child's First year of school, you can place an order online through your Powerschool account. They are $15 each.
Reminder that we will be skating tomorrow. Students who are participating must bring a separate bag that contains their skates and helmet. While it is much warmer than last week, it is still winter; please make sure that students come to school with snowpants, toques, and mittens as we will be outside for more than an hour.
Due to skating, we will be going to the library on Thursday instead of tomorrow.
I introduced three new French sentence prompts to the class today. These sentences have been introduced to help students communicate with each other in French during centre time.
The three sentences are...
"Veux-tu jouer?" = "Would you like to play?"
"De l'aide s.v.p?" = "Can you help me, please?"
"Passe les blocs s.v.p" = "Please pass the blocks"
Below is an example of one of the visuals that will be posted in the classroom to help and remind students to use the new sentences during their play. We will introduce more as the year goes on and review them frequently.
