Bonjour,

I wanted to say a big thank you to all of you. I just received a message from Mme N, our library assistant, saying that our class has returned all of their library books!

If you signed up to provide ingredients for our gingerbread making event on Thursday, please send the ingredients to school tomorrow. Thank you for your generous donations.

The homework presentations went very well today. Both as audience members and as presenters, everyone did a great job. After the presentations, I asked the students if they noticed any improvement from last month; it was great to hear how they thought they had improved and what they will work on next month. It was also great to hear how supportive they were of one another! There was lots of celebrating and encouragement in our classroom today.

After the presentations, we did some stretching and some dancing, we had centre time, and we read a story about a gingerbread man loose in a school. The kids were very excited about this book because they know that we will be making our very own gingerbread men on Thursday. If you have not yet returned the permission slip for our gingerbread event, please do so tomorrow.  If you need me to send you slip again, please let me know.

Bonjour! I apologize, I had computer trouble yesterday and my blog post wouldn't publish! In gym class this month, we will be doing a gymnastics unit. Today, the students learned how to dress appropriately so that they can participate safely. You should have received an email from M Trevor about this. Below are the suggestions that were discussed the students today: - tie up long hair - avoid wearing hoodies, dresses, or skirts - wear pants that allow for a wide range of movement such as leggings, sweat pants, or track pants Thank you for your help and cooperation with this! April 3, 2020 Hello Parents and Students,   With the current Pandemic and the cancellation of classes, an average of five hours per week of at home learning opportunities, as directed by Alberta Education ( https://www.alberta.ca/student-learning-during-covid-19.aspx ) will now be accessible using Google Classroom. Thursday, October 17th

Bonjour! Clean up went much smoother today! Thank you to those of you who talked about cleaning up with their child. Your support at home helps things go smoothly at school. Today, we was Jour Violet. The students learned how to write the word "VIOLET" as a group and then worked independently in their journals. We had a visit from a woman from Lynne who works for Alberta Health Services. Mme Lynne talk the students about the major muscle groups of the body and did some movement exercises with them. The students played a movement game during which they pretended to be an egg, toast, bacon, and a table. They also practiced balancing on foot, running on the spot, and deep breathing.
