Bonjour!

We had the last of our homework presentations today. I am proud of all the students and I am excited to see how their confidence and French language skills improve and develop each month. I will post the December homework on the blog and send it an email at the end of the week.

Today, we practiced writing the letters K and N; the students did a great job. We also reviewed all of the letters that we've done up until this point. I was very impressed by their letter recognition! After. our writing work, we watched a couple Go Noodle videos as a movement break because the class had a lot of energy this morning. After our movement break, we went to the library, had center time, practiced our "C'est l'hiver" song and got ready to go home. I will try to videotape the class singing the new song this week., they're doing a great job with the new vocabulary!

Bonjour! I apologize, I had computer trouble yesterday and my blog post wouldn't publish! In gym class this month, we will be doing a gymnastics unit. Today, the students learned how to dress appropriately so that they can participate safely. You should have received an email from M Trevor about this. Below are the suggestions that were discussed the students today: - tie up long hair - avoid wearing hoodies, dresses, or skirts - wear pants that allow for a wide range of movement such as leggings, sweat pants, or track pants Thank you for your help and cooperation with this! Today, we continued practicing how to move and hold our bodies in a controlled manner. Students played a game of dance and freeze. Thursday, October 17th

Bonjour! Clean up went much smoother today! Thank you to those of you who talked about cleaning up with their child. Your support at home helps things go smoothly at school. Today, we was Jour Violet. The students learned how to write the word "VIOLET" as a group and then worked independently in their journals. We had a visit from a woman from Lynne who works for Alberta Health Services. Mme Lynne talk the students about the major muscle groups of the body and did some movement exercises with them. The students played a movement game during which they pretended to be an egg, toast, bacon, and a table. They also practiced balancing on foot, running on the spot, and deep breathing.
