Reminder that there is no school on Monday.

Today, we discussed remembrance day. We read a book and watched a video about the significance of poppies and what remembrance day is all about. We also made did a poppy craft today that turned out beautifully! We painted a watercolour background and then used bleeding tissue paper and oil pastel to create the poppies.
Today, we also had our Remembrance Day assembly. The grade 5s did a wonderful job of leading the assembly. Poems, artwork, and songs were presented to the students, staff, and family members that had gathered in the gym. We were lucky to have special guests playing the bagpipes and the trumpet as well!
