March 2nd, 2020
Bonjour,
I hope you all had a great weekend!
Just a reminder that I have posted the March calendar and the March homework on the blog. Our homework presentations will take place before the break so please begin practicing with your child as soon as possible.
Today was a very busy morning for the students of room 9. After our morning routine, we talked about what we will be learning about this month. We also discussed what we can do to make our grocery store look more real and I surprised them with a huge colouring sheet that I made for them. Once it's coloured, it will serve as a backdrop in our grocery store centre.
Afterwards, we had music with Mme Edgett. If you ever want to see what the students are learning about in music, there is a link to her blog on the resource page of our blog.
After music, we went straight to the gym for our first day of Sound Kreations. Varsity Acres is very lucky to have A.J visit our school each year for an artist-in-residency dance program. A.J is so great with the kindergarten students and even speaks French! Over the course of the next two weeks, the students will be learning a hiphop dance routine.
We ended the day with a review of the "Q" and "R" letter sounds and the introduction of three new songs! I have added the songs to the list on the resource page of the blog.
