February 6th, 2020
Bonjour,
I apologize for the delayed post from yesterday, it went up this morning. I had written the post and saved it as opposed to publishing it.
Today, we practiced a chant that the kindergarten classes will do at the Carnaval kick-off assembly tomorrow. We also did a sorting activity with hearts. Student sorted hearts of different sizes, colours, and textures. It was great to hear how each of them chose to approach the task. Some of the students got creative and sorted their hearts by softness!
At centre time, students were excited about some new centres like the stacking sticks, the heart patterning, and the build-your-own sentence centres.
FOOD ALLERGIES OR SENSITIVITIES TO HOT CHOCOLATE AND CROISSANTS?
On Wednesday, February 12, students will be provided with hot chocolate and croissants as part of our celebration of French Canadian food and culture. If you DO NOT want your child to eat this snack, please send me an email to let me know prior to Tuesday, Feb 11 and send a special snack for your child to eat on Feb. 12. (Thank you to VASPFS for funding this treat for the school!)
