Bonjour!

No school for morning kindergarten students tomorrow. There is no school for all Kindergarten students on Monday as well. See you Tuesday!

Today we did a lot of French! We reviewed the letter sound for A and B, and learned about the hard C sound. We also tried identify those three letter sounds in the lyrics of some of our favourite songs. Afterwards, we practiced the homework and wrote in our journals. Today's journal entry was "Voici un chat" and I did a guided drawing of a cat for the art portion of the journal entry.

After French, we had our library time and gave the students extra time in the Zen room of the learning commons.

After the library, we had centres and story to wrap up the day.

Bonjour! I have now posted the November calendar on the blog. I have also created a new page to provide you with the questions for the monthly homework. The questions can be copied and pasted into a word document for printing or written out on another paper. The homework is due on November 25th; please keep the sheet at home and practice with your child until the due date.  If you have any questions, please let me know. Bonjour, Our class is still looking for a volunteer for Friday morning. If you can come, please sign up, it would be greatly appreciated. During our French circle time this morning, we practiced saying how old we are in French, which is a part of this month's homework. Today, we also expanded on our health conversation from yesterday by writing about good health in our journals and drawing at least three different healthy habits. Afterwards, the students had music with Mme Edgett and centre time. During centre time, we did some painting! At the end of the day, I introduced the final three letter sounds, "X", "Y", and "Z". The students were so excited that we've reached the of the alphabet. We will continue practicing letter sound and identifying them in our classroom songs and vocabulary.
