I have added some new volunteer spots on our signup page. We are looking for 4 volunteers to help on our ice-skating day. I have also put a signup spot for playdough. Thank you!
Today we started talking about letter sounds. We learned about the A and B sounds. We use the Raconte-moi l'alphabet kit to teach letter sounds. The kit includes a story and a series of images and actions that accompany each letter. Ask your child if they remember the sounds and actions for A and B! It's ok if they don't remember, today was just the first day.
In their journals, the students drew a picture of a significant memory from their winter break. I asked that they include themselves in the drawing and we talked about how to draw people. The students are working towards drawing people that have a recognizable head, body, arms, and legs.
Today, we also read a few pages in a book about animals. Each day, we will read a couple of the animal profiles from the book.
